For some background I'm a sophomore in highschool and I'm 6' 3" 150lbs, my easy runs are around ~7:30 pace but my cadence measured by my Garmin watch is around 155. Even when I do tempos around 5:50 pace my cadence only goes up to 160-165. I should also mention that even for my height I have long legs and I don't feel like I'm overstriding and heel striking when I run. A lot of people on this board seem to advocate cadence around 170-180 all the time. Discus
