What would you say a 2:05 800 guy should run the 600 and 1000 in?

1:30 for 600m
2:40 for 1000m

I think those are good, though it depends on the runner. Some will decay more over the distances, some less.
I was more of a speed kid, not great endurance, and ran 1:28 / 2:07 / 2:44 before my first "retirement." Definitely a lot of 2:05 guys can go well under 1:30, at least 400/800 types will.
I feel like the majority of 2:05 guys can go sub 1:30....I broke 1:30 when I was a 2:12.5/4:49/10:09 guy so not exactly the fastest person.

I split 1:30 on my way to 2:05
When I ran 2:04 indoors I also ran 1:29 and 2:42, so something around that. However, the 1k and 800 were solo races, so take that into consideration.
To give OP a more accurate estimation, can OP give us your 400m pr and 1500m/mile PR?
When you say should, you should exceed 1:30 and also 2:40. You should be well balanced to be an 800m runner, running rounds meant Seb Coe had to be world class at 400 and also 1500 to run such a great 800m time. Dont take shortcuts, dont say its ok if my endurance is lacking. Also don't accept not being fast you need both to be a great 400m runner.
I would say if you are a younger runner you would benefit more from the 1000m run as it takes more discipline to pace the longer distance. 600 is good too, but focus on kicking the end of the 600 a fast 400m split but a very hard last 200, really reeling them in and passing like you might need to in the 800. That way you get more challenge out of a shorter distance.
I think that heavy barbell squats were why Coe was able to excel at such a range of distance by the way. Combined with efficient form. You could say these are dangerous but, just start light and get two people to spot you. No excuse for not being good at anything, and you will run a lot faster over 800m.
And 400/800 guys/gals will struggle running 2:40 for the 1000 with 2:05, more likely 2:42-44.
