SUNYAC fans, where would you rank Peyton Lalone among all time great (modern, DIII era) SUNYAC sprinters?
My personal rankings:
Top tier, Hall of famers, best of the best.
-Stefon Mascoll, Cortland. World Championship qualifier (6.7 60m)
-Amaan Siddeeq, Cortland (10.3 100m, multiple NCAA championships)
-Willie Hordge, Buff State. Could have been an all time USA great, but got fat. Still ran pretty fast at Buffalo.
-Justin Allen, Buff state. Ran a couple years for Buffalo, 47.low 400m, transferred to Baylor. Not sure if he got faster.
-Sean Bernstein, Oneonta. (20.8 200m), multiple NCAA titles.
-Sure I'm missing a ton, but these are the ones who came to mind
2nd tier, Hall of great
-Gino Bisceglia, Cortland. The big guy who looked like a thrower but ran like a deer. 47.5 400m
-Melique Garcia, Cortland. 10.3/21.4. Currently running "professionally"
-Eric Theiss, Oneonta. Seemed to injured a lot, but a beast when healthy. High 47 400m runner.
-I would place Lalone here. As a soph he's already ran 21.9 on a flat indoor track. By the time he graduates I predict he'll be at 10.mid and 20.high.
I'm biased as I ran in the SUNYAC a little less than 10 years ago.
What does everyone else think?
