It is hard. NOT thinking about 87 things at once is actually quite a feat.
I got into it for insomnia, originally, but it took me a long time (months) before I felt like I was seeing benefits. I’m now able to to do two breaths a minute and can really calm my mind, work through pain, or through being really ticked off at something when needed.
If no one is there to hear me, I do a bhramari breath practice. It’s kinda out there when you read about it, but it is an amazing tool when you really need to concentrate and aren’t in the right frame of mind. It may sound new agey, but there’s a physiological reason behind its effectiveness.
