Did anyone else see the singlets they made those poor kids wear? Absolutely abusive. I’m shaking just writing this.

What was wrong with them?
It looks like a 4th grader designed them.

So true.
The design is way too busy. It looks like they crowdsourced the idea from a middle school art class.
OP, you dummy. They we're designed to celebrate autism. Grow up.

I've never even heard of him. But if we're going to celebrate him, then Foot Locker should have picked a better singlet design.

I also thought the uniforms looked terrible. But on top of that, the design slightly resembled the look of the Brooks Pro uniforms, which is a dumb move by New Balance.
I expected a lot better out of New Balance. They usually do a good job with design. There are a few local teams with New Balance uniforms, and they look very good. The New Balance pro kits look great as well (why not just use that design and change colors?)
Especially since there would be so many people in the CC world watching, they could have done so much better for themselves with all that publicity.

They were way too busy. Too much going on. Seemed distracted and disconnected. Designs can be flashy and draw attention, with being simple at the same time. They were trying too hard and it ended up being a mess.
And New Balance has done a good job before. Their 2017 and 2016 uniforms both looked very good.
(2015 looked like trash, but that was Asics)
I liked them and my kids liked them. The NXN uniforms look like old HS JV uniforms.
Someone thought he/she had a good idea. No one else looked carefully at it after the decision was made.
Every kid loved their uniform including me. They might not look good on the webcast, but in person, they are super cool. They are much better than Nikes same old uniforms every year. New Balance actually tries new things. The backpack is also another example of a different style, and guess what? All the runners loved them.
Why would you celebrate autism? I thought it was a disorder.
PS I thought they looked shiit too.
All around better than NXN. Uniforms are better, weather is better, location is better, and broadcast is better. I hope that we can keep the competition at the elite level.
