Been a week since I came back from my xc break. First week of training have been composed of a long run, 2 hard track workouts, runs ranging from 6:30 to 7:30 pace. I am a 16:10 5k guy btw and I have a race in a few days. I had to drop out of my most recent track workout because my legs were aching. Long run was probably too fast as I did a fartlek. My heart rate is usually at 45 bpm but now it's been hovering at around 60ish. Sleep schedule has been fluctuating due to school. Am I doing too much too early? Should I rest and take it easy only before my meet?
