Well she just posted a picture on IG in Texas gear... was she granted the release?

her transfer to a school (TX or any school) is totally her decision (and the school's), including scholarship becoming a member of the team.
The appeal was just to get an exception granted to compete this season/semester.
Yes they can provide gear and a scholarship.
After all that drama, she is going to Texas after all. She knew it all along.
I have it on good authority that she never visited any other schools.
Texas would prefer if she redshirted this year anyway. Texas is going to stink this year, with or without Tara. If Flo is able to build the program the way they'd like, they can be very competitive again by Tara's 5th year.
Welcome to Texas, Tara!

You will persevere, despite the haters on here who have nothing better to do but hate on others.

You have no knowledge of what Texas "prefers" for Tara. I pray that you are in no way associated with Texas. If you are, I am ashamed for the rest of us Texas supporters.

It is simple math, you fool. If Texas is projected to score 3 points at NCAAs this year, why would they waste a year of Tara's eligibility? Schools do it hundreds of thousands of times all over the country - redshirt a young player so they can be more competitive their senior year. Or time the redshirts of certain athletes so that you have a stacked team for a year.
For example, if your best basketball player is a senior and is the only senior on the team. It would be wise to redshirt him for a year so that the team can be much better the next year.
In fact, Texas would be dumb to let Tara compete this year, even if she was immediately eligible.
LMAO the date on the Texas article is yesterday and Tara only announced it today. Even Texas announced Tara was joining before Tara could announce it herself! Watch out for another temper tantrum folks!
Bullshit, she left on her own and so have to sit, no hardship crap. Sit , it's the rule.
Look Asswipe, a coach who has a healthy athlete's best interest at heart doesn't redshirt them if they have individual goals that involve competing as soon possible. You don't try to force someone to delay their ability to compete, and extend their college careers if they have aspirations to follow the normal path of being in college only 4 years.
The pictures Tara took in Texas gear happened while she was on campus for an official visit. She had the same haircut in those pictures as she did in her instagram video where she complained about how she hadn't picked a school yet. In posts after that, she changed her haircut.

So she clearly had already committed to Texas, yet went and complained on social media and claimed she hadn't picked a school yet. Maybe her low character and chronic fibbing is what created the divide between her and Petros.
Can someone please provide a Cliffs Notes version of this thread? How did a thread about a jumper transferring colleges reach almost 400 posts? There has got to be something unusual going on and I don't have time to read 20 pages of posts.

Visited TCU. Spoke in depth with USC and UCLA didn’t need to visit those schools because she visited both of them twice in High School. Knew going in that sitting was a possibility but needed to be out of that situation and closer to family. Thanks for the support.

Most of what you said is accurate except for bringing race into the discussion. I agree that most of the posters are distance runners. But saying that makes them racist is really a racist comment by you because it is based on your assumption that whites are distance runners and blacks are sprinters.
Thats asinine and it goes to show you just how clueless most people are on the topic of race and race relations. The poster didn't say that all distance runners are racist, nor did they say that all distance runners are white. Believe it or not, there are people other black and white that exist and run distance.
"- LetsRun is mostly distance runners and they don't get sprinters and will always bash them out of misunderstanding, bias, and sometimes racism."
"Sometimes racism" is not only accurate, but its fair considering the comments i've seen about race from different posters that I've seen over the years,
She doesn't look 20lbs. overweight in the longhorn gear (as claimed by the ric flair crowd).
I agree. More like 25.
Well at last the drama has ended.
I wish her all the best. She can of course compete unattached as long as she provides her own transportataion and lodging to the indoor meets (no indoor track at TX) and at the home outdoor meets. It’s not really a hardship
And of course she’s I’m sure training to try to make the team foe worlds.

Injunction?? J/k
what happened in the hearing? what was the school's excuse?
