According to @petrosdeca, she's going from dawg to longhorn , ( she has yet to announce).
Is she the grand daughter of Sammy Davis?
I am surprised, her boyfriend goes to Arkansas, i would have thought if she transferred it would be to Arkansas, as they always have outstanding teams as well.
Think Flo has anything to do with it?

He's earning his paycheck if true.
Shady by Petros to steal her thunder... salty much?
Shady by Edrick to poach her. He was a hell of a jumper, but he hasn't ever built a jumps program as strong as Petro's at any of his many stops...might be the wrong move by this young lady if she still wants to jump. And yeah, I know Edrick's programs have had some great hurdlers, thanks to his wife....

This is how he got the program rolling at Kentucky.
The demands were probably too much. Petro rides his athletes and most American divas can’t take that for too long. Her jumping is probably not coming along as she imagined and he is probably pushing more and more needing her points. Her thunder was stolen by a more talented freshman coming in and producing in crunch time. Shame because he can coach the field.
She must think this is a good path for going pro.

Or maybe, it has NOTHING to do with Track, Maybe Georgia dropped the Academic Program she was involved in, My Nephew was taking Bio Medical Engineering at Long Beach State and a teacher who taught the courses he needed to graduate got into a crash and they have not hired anyone who can teach the courses he needs.

Or, maybe not.
On Twitter she says Georgia is refusing to give her a release, so she might not be able to run for Texas this year
More than likely a lot of time and effort went into the recruiting process, so it's not a major surprise even if it's not going to help Georgia much in the long term.
I thought the NCAA just changed this rule in October so coaches could no longer block athletes from transferring.

She probably had a fantasy about what college life and athletics was going to be like. That fantasy likely didn't materialize. She probably started feeling the pressure to train, and perform. She may have felt like she was not a big fish anymore and treated like any other athlete. I have seen this happen many times. Coaches that cater to the "I am special" athlete are not benefiting the athlete long term.

If so, it is not reflected on their website (
http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/current/transfer-terms). Even the "one-time transfer exception" lists a requirement that you need a transfer-release agreement from your previous school.

You could never block them from transferring - the new transfer portal just allows athletes to announce their intent to transfer.
Whats happening here is that Georgia isnt going to grant her the one time transfer exception which would allow her to compete immediately. If you transfer and dont get the one time transfer exception you have to sit a year.
