Hey - I'm a 40 mpw guy who is going to be in St Petersburg for 2 weeks in January. I've heard that it is rare to see people running on the streets in Russia, as compared to any major US city. Just wondering, if anyone out there has tried to get in some mileage while in St Petersburg in winter? I'd really like to run, because the first way I 'see' a city is to check into the hotel, and then go out for a 5- or 10- mile run to check out the surroundings. Or, should I just forget it - and take a 2 week break while in Russia?
