Anyone have any good spots to run on Marco Island in Florida?
It's a pretty small island, flat as a pancake expect for a few bridges, virtually every road has sidewalks, and there's no unsafe areas, so any place is a good place to run. The North/South portions of Collier Boulevard (West side of island) go past all the hotels and condos, so that's the place to run if you want to see and be seen. There aren't really any undeveloped areas so you won't really be able to get in any "back to nature" running. The Southeast portion down towards Goodland is probably the least populated area. Sunrises are beautiful, so I'd encourage an early start.
Here's a run of mine from this past July that, with an extra loop around the Snook Inn parking lot, ended up being half marathon distance. You'll see it pretty much covers the island:
