Just remember, there were good people on both sides. Especially when it comes to the European theater. Some of those guys on the other side in Europe were bigly good people.

No, the Germans bombed four days later, Dec 11, when they declared war on the U.S..

As the years go by now the less it is being remembered but it will not be forgotten. The world is a vastly different place now, thanks to technology. It's right on the edge of peace, prosperity, health and happiness for all. We just need to tip it that way. Look at what has happened and happens tomorrow (today) in France. It's not left or right. It's an indicator of what's to come everywhere.
Once protection of rights is in place then the enthusiasm for creating one's life and helping our neighbors everywhere begins! I could not say this without seeing first hand what most others do not get to see. You hear and read about it but it is actually at such a level that is barely believable. How could it get that far? People aren't stupid; they just didn't know or know how to go about changing it. Now they know. And everyone will be have the real right to attain happiness without anyone interfering in anyway. Thank you to each and every one who served to get us to this point in history. We honor you and you will not be forgotten.
Are there any veterans still alive that were at Pearl Harbor? They would probably be in their 90s or so?

One lives here in Colorado Springs. I believe a section of I-25 through town is named in his honor. Either that or one of the overpasses over I-25. I've seen his name on a road sign.
We have gotten plenty of coverage of the attack on Pearl Harbor as well a few Hollywood films.
What has been pretty thoroughly buried is the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 and the shameful cover-up and the threats made to the survivors.
Every American should be informed of this. And listen to the survivors. The official cover story is ridiculous and one big lie.

They were just too damn stubborn to surrender and you know what occurred in August of 1945.

Midway was a work of military art on the side of the U.S.A.. Along with Overlord, our greatest military achievement.

Japanese military in 1930's were actually raping and pillaging their Asian neighbors. US in 1930's, 1940 & 1941 were net oil exporters. US cut Japan off. Japan took the trade hostility, not so well. Japanese had been sending students to US west coast universities for years. Based on west coast US men, Japan assumed US men were soft and feminine. Historically, there is a fighting spirit in US men who grow up on or near Mississippi River. Pre-WW2 Japanese did not have the opportunity to meet many men from US heartland.
