Funny that they made the comment of how far back the west was. probably under orders not to mention NXN.
Footlocker needs to qualify runners based on an NXN regionals if there’s a conflict With FL regionals.

Katelynne Hart would have won if she didn’t race nxn as well her schedule was sub 16 at state then next week, week 1: NXR, week 2: Foot locker Midwest, week 3: NXN, week 4: Foot locker nationals. That is a much more packed schedule than Mascareli had to deal with and I have a feeling if Katelynne had down time and didn’t have 5 all out efforts in a row her legs would be fresher.
Oh wow I didn’t realize she had that schedule.

Hart was really "off" last week, for whatever reason. The fact that she didn't come up with a true all out effort last week at NXN probably set her up to run well today.
Taylor Ewart was 14 seconds slower today vs NXN. Hart was 29 seconds faster.

I always laugh at how both NXN and FL actively go out of their way to not mention the other on the broadcast.
So we have the same question as last year. Who is #2 this year? Chmiel or the FL winner?
Andrew Butchart shorts appreciation comment
BTW: has anybody ever had an undefeated HS career? Could she be the first?
Footlocker and NXN are competitors, and its sorta ridiculous since FL is for individuals and NXN is for teams...but on the other hand, its just high school, and in two years half these kids will discover they can't run high mileage and keep their head together when they aren't dominating every race. So what does it really matter? I guess some of these kids will have success in college, and very very few will make it to the pros. Besides Flanagan, did any of the elite regional coaches make it to Footlocker finals even?
Northeast Boys are going to totally smoke the course. They'll all be sub 14

I would have won if I were still in high school, a girl, and could run a lot faster than I currently can!
Brenda Martinez looking nice.
By large on the men’s side, finishing well at Foot Locker has been a solid, if imperfect, predictor of NCAA success.
4:47 first mile
tactical race
Lead pack went through the 1.5 mile point in around 7:20. Why aren't they giving us kilometer splits?
Second mile in 9:55
Remember when Lukas Verzbikas just jogged a 14:45 like it was nothing? These guys are super weak compared to the previous years. Maybe next year XC can have faster runners.
This was the slowest winning time in a very long time
Why was the coverage of the leading runners so abysmal? Did they not have cameras on the leading vehicles? Past races with Ches and Verzbicas were never that awful.
wow they really botched the coverage of that boys race. No camera on the lead vehicle? Missing all the major moves in the second half? too bad because it seemed like a good one with so many in contention at halfway
Camera work at the end of the boys race was truly horrible.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
