After an ultrasound I was diagnosed with bursitis in my 5th metatarsal (below the pinky toe). The podiatrist wants to give me a cortisone shot to reduce inflammation.
This will be my first time receiving a cortisone shot. Does anyone have experience with this? What was your experience like?
Yep, I've had the shot for bursitis, although I had "weaver's bottom", or bursitis of the hamstring. I went from a heavy, dull ache to no pain in about 48 hours. Haven't had any pain since and its been nearly a decade.
Key thing is to find out what's causing the bursitis and try to minimize it.
