That was a fun race, albeit muddy, cold, and slow.
It's starting to rain now.

Trinidad state is the new Adams A team?
While it is always news when the Grizzlies lose, the haters have gotten to the point where their insults are starting to cancel each other out.
Plenty of posters on this thread said that Grand Valley and Mines were better teams than Adams. It ain’t choking to lose to better teams.
While losing is always devestating, only a moran would blame Adams for being overrated by the USTFCCCA.
Tough break for Mines, great efforts from both CSM and GVSU.
I would of pushed all of them down. Twice.
Oh, honey.
Keep moving the goalpost haters! You confidently predicted Adams would lose, now you are celebrating that they lost. It's almost like you weren't even sure in your predictions.
Congrats to the Grand Valley men with a well fought victory. After a few seasons of coming close they got a title, good for them.
Even the greatest collegiate distance running program in human history has an off year.
What happened to Sydney Gidabuday? I thought he was the class of D2
He got like 5th outdoors last season after beating Matt Baxter and running like 13:25 earlier. He also beat the guy won Nats yesterday at their conference meet. He seems to just run too hard too early.
When I saw the conditions yesterday I did not think there was any way that Adams State was going to win. I didn't think the course or conditions suited them very well. In saying that, I thought that Mines, Western, and then GVSU would really handle those conditions well.
The real question is will Adams rebound next year. It took Western about 5 years to return to good form. As much hate as Adams gets, they are one of the most historical programs in the country. It would be kinda sad to see them fade. This was their worst finish in DII since 1996! 22 years, so that's definitely a choke considering their lineup returning almost all their key guys from last years dominate National title performance.
It would appear that Adams will enter next season ranked 4th, as GV and Mines lose key guys but have depth, and Western returns their top 5 making them the favorite.
1. Western
2. GV
3. Mines
4. Adams

Western will also have Ahmed Jama back since he was redshirting this year. He was an All-American in XC 2017 and in the outdoor 10k last May. If we assume that he would have improved on last year’s finish, Western could have been very close to this year’s title if not winning it when you factor in Western’s lower score while adding a few points to the other teams (plus it might have given their other guys a little more motivation to end up placing a spot or two higher). Now they look even better for next year though. Those guys ran with some balls with the way they went out. A couple of them may have paid for it a little bit, but they really showed that they wanted to compete.
