Who is Ryan Oosting and how did he get so good?
Hey Ryan Oosting! Welcome to Letsrun.
um he was around last Spring 1:54/4:14/8:53 https://ma.milesplit.com/athletes/5743996/stats
if youre asking about xc its because he had mono last year
Guy was a beast today .
How did he get so good when he was new to the sport?
Made in the Netherlands.
Oosting's my boy, he lives a couple towns over. Saw him set a new course records at states
I saw an old interview with him and he says he started running cross country as a sophomore. Then the following spring he's running a 4:11 mile. How did he get that good that fast?
Genetics+good training program/base building+dedication=success
Where attending school next year?
Watched him run All-states at my schools track, very talented. I was told that his parents are from Germany I believe and he only runs around 30-35 mpw as of last year by another person. He's been very good for a while now winning multiple national titles in track.

There's only one possible answer. He must be doping.
umm...he isn't new. Here are some of his new balance outdoor national results:
freshman year: 4th freshman 2 mile
sophomore year: 2nd in 2mile; 5k champion (14:36)
junior year: 2nd 5k (14:37); 10th in DMR
And last year he was 6th in the Arcadia 2 mile (8:53) and 5th in the Brooks PR 2 mile (also 8:53)

New??
As new to the sport as a 4 year letterman his senior year. Hes got xc, indoor, outdoor races Freshman, sophomore, junior years, plus this season. ??
.....Not so new that he lost to an even newer Sophomore, Cole Sprout in the Brooks 2 mile by 4 seconds last year.

Not really.
Maybe he got hurt or something his freshman year, but he does have a cross country race time in 2015. He has complete indoor, outdoor, and xc times from races Freshman, sophomore, junior seasons so far.
Why are his fans trying to attempt to sandbag his experience as "new to the sport"??
Not Germany. The Netherlands. That is why he is running NXN and not Footlocker - because he is going to represent the Netherlands at the European Juniors since he knows it's easier there than at Footlocker.
