Tomorrow is NXR NY and NE qualifiers. Course looks clear of snow and ready to go. Team-wise, Boys NY race seems pretty set in stone. Girls NY and Boys NE race should be interesting.

Epic NY girls race . Have to think FM gets an invite if 3rd but probably not toga ( unless chemiel blows up ) or Liverpool .
NY Boys...
I think Burnt Hills will be tougher than they look on paper, but not enough to beat FM.
That's the two autos. No 'at large' bids.
NY Girls...
Not even trying to call this mess.
But, if FM comes in 3rd, they'll get an 'at large' because they're FM.
If Saratoga comes in 3rd, they'll get an 'at large' because Nike leaving US#2 sitting home on Championship Saturday would be stupid.
And if Liverpool comes in 3rd, unless it's within a few points of 1st, NY probably doesn't get an 'at large'.
Bonus...

Liverpool is ranked 13th Nationaly. Who would get the at large if Liverpool doesn't get it. I think that there is only one team ranked ahead of Liverpool who has not/will not qualify with an auto.
Would love to be there. Wonder what kind of weather? Looks like the real cold stuff moved on.
In the deepest field so far FM Girls # 5 has to step it up. Saratogas #1-2 have the edge on FM and Liverpool, FM's #3-4 have the edge on Saratoga and Liverpool, but Saratoga and Liverpool # 5 on paper are way ahead of FM #5 and with all the runners in this race that can be a lot of places. I would agree if FM places 3 they will get invited. But at Nationals their #5 issue would only get larger.
Just 30 F at 9:30 Eastern time, supposed by about 40 F by the time the championship races go off. No rain till later.

My use of "probably doesn't" was probably a little heavy handed.
I just think that out of the three possible 3rd place teams in the discussion, Liverpool has the least compelling argument for an 'at large'.
If it's crazy close between these three teams (Bill Meylan is calling it 90, 91, 92), then it's pretty hard to ignore 3rd place, no matter who it is.

I think NY will get three girls teams and two boys. But- do Corning boys have a chance if they're 3rd just because they made it last year?

If there’s anything that would help Liverpool be considered to get an at large bid if they get 3rd, it would be that they beat FM head to head at the Salt City Athletic Conference champs, and in the merged meet at Chittenango. FM used the exact same varsity 7 roster at both meets as the one they are using today. Saratoga, FM, and Liverpool are all ranked pretty high and close together.
Corning boys won’t get an at large if they get 3rd. They graduated 2 very solid seniors including their low stick Nicholson. They have also never beated FM or Burnt Hills this year.
Anybody on site?
They're doing this bullsh1t "no results until after the award ceremony" nonsense.
Boys race should be over.
looks like Stokes won, Weilbaker (?) was 2nd, FM 3rd and 4th, based on one photo from finish
Tuohy with a 20 second lead over Walters at the half and heading down the mountain according to Leone Timing live.
Tuohy 17:15, noone else in sight as she finished from photo

Saw the race at 4 umpressiones:
1. Oosting is a beast . Looked like he was barely trying the first 2 miles and ended up running faster than the ny boys in worse conditions ;
2.FM boys can thank their recruiters for the win next week ; looks like they are the team to beat.
3. Eyeballing the girls race at 2.25 miles, it looked like Liverpool was dead even with ‘toga and FM. Liverpool’s 5 runner lost a ton of points in the last 3/4 mile.
I doubt they get an at-large bid .
4. Cannot believe the muscle definition on KT. Hand her the National title right now.
Thoughts on Walters beating Chmiel? Was Tuohy racing hard today? At 2.5 km, FM was leading but several runners faded, while Saratoga basically held their places through the finsh
Top 3 all we’re going hard . It looked at 2.25 chemiel was going to catch Walters . It looked to me at that point FM and Liverpool were even with toga in third , . Nice team race the 3-4-5 runners decided it ,

PA champs North Allegheny aka "Wexford Flats" finish 9th on the boy's and 3rd in the girl's. Shows how weak PA is?
