What were Chelimo and Jenkins wearing?
Once again, no true American in the top 3. What a shame. I can't watch this crap.
BTW, those aren't even fast 5K times. Darn dbags, they should go back and run D3.
He ran a course record by 3 seconds in RECORD COLD temps (15 degrees with a windchill near 0)
That’s insane. And even if this field was extra good this year, look who’s ran in the past,
super impressive

Yes, there is drug testing for the top elites. USADA was there
Does anybody know if there were “boots on the ground” this year?

Chelimo was in 4% v1. Jenkins was in a pair of LTs I think LT4...
King Ches was the man today, but over the past 3 track seasons Chelimo has been heads and shoulders the top 5000 meter runner for the U.S. - so those who think Ches will now own Chelimo are DREAMING! They are fooling themselves.
Chelimo, with his two global medals, is perfectly positioned to make multiple trips to the podium in the next 3-year championship cycle. He still needs a bit of improvement to get there again, but to think Ches will be ahead of him is wishful thinking.
what shoes are these? they lookkkkkk
Ches seems to be in really good shape, but i hope he's not in "too good" of shape. Last year he had a crazy good indoor season but was injured by outdoor track and never got to do anything big. Hope he isn't doing too many hard track workouts, at least not in spikes, due to his calf problems in the past.
I hope he never becomes an American citizen. It is the kiss of death for most.

how long is the course?
4.748 miles.
The odd distance being because the race was started in the 1920's and the guys just chose a logical loop around the local roads, without caring about making it an even distance.
Great to see Andy Butchart back in action at long last.

Did he say anything nasty?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
