I am super tired all the time and also feel depressed. I decided to see a doctor who referred me to a chiropractor. Explained that I have hammered out hard workouts and uncomfortable (probably too fast) miles all year round and my body has been paying the price lately. I suspect I have been minorly overtrained for quite a few years to be honest. I have been doing lots of hard workouts just trying to cling on to my peak shape
My body doesn’t seem to activate my muscles properly or produce leg power when I run the same as I used to. I have insomnia, I have started to develop sensory problems (sensitivity to sounds, sunlight, etc) and my muscles are INCREDIBLY tight all around my body, when I try to stretch the knots out they jus sprint bak into the same place once I stop stretching. i also experience air hunger walking up a flight of stairs.
I was told by the chiropractor that I had Central Nervous System fatigue. How long does it take to recover? Is it a matter of days, weeks, months?
