Sad tale and it shows how much religion messes people up. No one should be disowned for who they love.

Disowning is not appropriate, but homosexuality is not a good thing and should be discouraged like other harmful sinful behavior.
Unfortunately, we are in an age where good is called evil, and evil good. I feel sorry for all the kids who go down that path just because it’s become a way to be recognized.
Of course, as with all sinful behavior, they have to keep pushing the boundaries to stay ‘relevant’. So now being trans is the cool thing. What an unhappy situation that puts those poor, impressionable kids.
Pay attention folks, ^this^ is what a piece of human garbage sounds like.

I wouldn't say human garbage, but I would say this person represents the common opposition view to non-payment heterosexuality. It's very that people like this require a close friend or family member to come out to change their mind. I'm not sure how you combat mentality like that, but it is quite common. I do know that calling them human garbage won't change their mind and will probably further entrench their views.
Yes it is a frstrating view wrote:

It must be so nice to be pure like yourself and non-judgmental to boot.
Homosexuality is perfectly normal for gays and lesbians. You are the one with the problem.
Its normal? What % of the human race is homosexual? Do I dislike homosexuals? No. Is it normal? No

Your out-of-touch perception of pop culture is almost as troubling as your views on morality. Being gay or trans isn't "the cool thing," it's just not the end of the world like it used to be. Telling everyone that you identify as a girl doesn't get you a seat at the popular table, it gets you bullied. The LGBT community is still terribly vulnerable to discrimination at the hands of far too many cruel people who, like you, choose to believe that kissing someone of the same sex somehow merits an eternity of unimaginable pain and torture. The only evil people involved in this story are the parents and the NCAA authorities who attempted to kill her collegiate eligibility.

That's like saying red hair isn't normal because the percentage of red haired people is relatively low.

Is Down syndrome normal because it occurs in a low percentage of the population?
All these trannies woulda been goth kids in makeup when I was in school, those kids mostly grew out of it though must be harder to do after taking sex hormones and the chop. no wonder the suicide rate is so high.
My 67-year old irresponsible mother cost me $6600 in August. May I start a GoFundMe page for either her if I disown the idiot or how about just a GoFundMe for myself?
Do people not see this as a potential abuse to have one's child college education costs underwritten by people passionate about liberating sexual orientations?
Yeah, sure, I am gay, parents disowned me, MIT here I come! FINALLY!

Weak comparison.

Neither Down syndrome nor homosexuality can be cured.
If the NCAA allows her to keep the funds they're making a huge mistake. What's next? My girlfriend wouldn't provide certain services so I need a go fundme page to pay for the hookers? C'mon. While I'm not saying homosexuality is right or wrong (I have no right to judge), her family does have a right to choose whether or not to fund an education. Are other student athletes going to start go fundme campaigns because their parents decided to take a vacation or put money in their 401K instead of paying for school?

Funnily enough, it used to be considered one by religious nutcases. Book of Matthew judgement day
"He shall separate all nations one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left…then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come, ye blessed of my father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world…then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Meh. She's 19. Odd's are she'll be back with dudes sometime within the next 2.5 years.

You’re a man and you want it up you. It’s okay. We forgive you.

She does have some good marketing, thats for sure. I went to a crappy state u even after getting accepted to a top private college because my parents chose to put money into themselves. Imagine if a pimply faced guy who plays competitive fortnite instead of a cute runner got accepted to mit, then started a go fund me, got into mit but parents don't value education or something. The internet would be all over telling him to go to state u and some folks would even say go to community college or learn a trade.
