no but i want to hear more about them. i do my recovery runs in the vomero 12 and 13 so am wondering if these will fit the bill to replace my 13s.
Hi,
I noticed that some have complained that its a bit to firm on the forefoot, runnersworld rated the forefoot as firm. It may not have the same plush cushioning on the vomeros of old. People do seem to rave about its responsiveness though.
Cheers

Completely different shoe than 12 and 13. No longer that plush cushioning.
Hi all,
Has anyone ran in the Nike Vomero 14, any thoughts, thanks

I use them for recovery and carriage path runs. Super durable outsole, They have the zoom air pocket under the toe which feels odd but gives some spring and you get used to it. They are firmer than say the peg turbo but I still find them soft on the feet. Best comparison is to a kinvarna type of cushion.
Upper is more structured than the flyknit I usually like but they fit very well. I find it has some side support as a result so good for recovery. However I can pick up the pace to sub 7 if needed and they still feel good, though for me the sweet spot is slower paces.
Toebox is not wide or narrow and I have regular feet. Less than peg turbo but more than zoom Fly fk. Sizing is on par to all my other nikes.
I think they are more fun than the peg turbos which give me a meh reaction to their responsiveness. These feel like they are built like a tank.
Thanks for the reply, are they breathable or a hot shoe? I found the peg 35 not enough cushion, do you find they are more cushioned than the peg 35 similar to the older vomeros. Do you find they are good shock absorbing, soft enough for recovery runs. Cheers
Steve
They don’t feel cold and it’s supper cold where I live now...not a great response but need real humid weather to tell
More cushion than 35. Never used old Vomeros
Using it in 5 min for a 7 mile recovery
Post run...been a while since I used these
- Firmer than pillow soft turbos
- Higher ankle cups and harder for more support
- Not for walking around, feels plain weird with the air pockets under ball of feet. You get used to it after a while
- Heavier than a daily trainer
- Firmer forefoot, but still high enough to not give me blisters for turnover
These are a nice change from all the super soft other Nikes I wear
i have run devotedly in the 13's (put about 2500 miles on the 13's this past season--different shoes, but consistently teh 13's). I just switched to the 14s. after a week of about 55 miles put on them (some tempo. mostly easy runs) i started to experience pain in my inner ankle--similar to posterior tibial tendinitis (at least the location of the pain was similar. never had PTT, so don't know if the symptoms are alike). went back to my 13's this morning and the pain is almost all gone.
do you guys think this has to do with the new cushioning/react foam?

Does your heel seem to move more or sink compared to the 13 ? If so, may be the problem due to pronation of the heel.
Also, note the below comments from posts above.

I haven't noticed it ... but may go for a short run in them an see if i notice anything. thanks.
