All D1 runners are engineer and biology majors. And physics. And have full time jobs. And have two girlfriends.

This is a down year for D3. Look back at Ian Lamere, Johnny Crain, Chris Stadler. The depth of d3 seems to come in waves. A few years ago there were 3-4 guys as good as Patel at the top.
Also, Patel’s run was disappointing - he’s better than 14:00.
Only Lamere of those 3 has run faster than Patel for the indoor 5k, moron.

Yes, the indoor 5k. The ultimate marker of success.

His PR is 13:58 from outdoor last year so the fact that he has already run 14:00 is pretty impressive. Not disappointing at all, it's actually a 22 second indoor PR.
At least two of the guys who beat him ran 20 second PRs from their outdoor times so don’t assume that he will faster outdoor.

Genius, you just proved they improved over time. Congratulations, you played yourself.
Can we all just shut up about D1 vs D3 and just get back to the action?
You obviously didn’t understand the point. The D1 guys ran faster on this 300M track than they ran outdoor last year so there is no reason to think your D3 hero will run faster outdoor.

The real question is which teams will be switching over to the scientifically optimal training technique, HIIT?
Joe Rogan, PhD discussed this on his podcast. Any team would dominate DIII if they switched to HIIT. It's the most scientifically sound method.
Which coach will be the most rational this year? Just use logic and you will win.
Go ahead. Try to debate me.
So many amateurs here…. HIIT should not be a way to train , only put in sometimes to
awaken the body and give it a boost! A good help to avoid long plateaus and also sharpen the shape before important races .

We're getting to a point where I don't understand the trolling from the stupidity and no one is responding timely.
In the case of everyone's best interest:
-Mayer is the goat
-D1 is full of engineers and science majors who deny climate change
-UWL is lame
-The beer is coldest after your 17th National Title (prove me wrong)
-It's still mid February so times mean everything
-Mt Union has a cheat code
-Indoor Nationals will come down to who can shotgun the most Mike's Hards

No. Not until DIII admits once and for all that they are on slower at the top end than DI. It is liberal propaganda that allows DIII runners to think they are superior.
I was the 21st runner on my indoor conference championship Big 12 team in the 90s. I got the ring, I deserve a little bit of respect.

I bet that conference ring looks nice and that you made great contributions to that result. Also your team probably did great at Nationals too thanks to you sucking them off!!
Nobody said the top of D3 was better than D1. We're just trying to talk about our season in peace
Can we acknowledge the fact that this is a D3 THREAD. So all of you "superior" D1 athletes, alumni, and supporters should choose to argue about your inferiority complex on a D1 thread.
I guess you can't comment about Rupp, McLaughlin, McDonald, Fisher, Cain, Trump, Kerr, Kipchoge, Cosby, Tefera, Sanders, Knudsen, or Ingebrigtsen. Those people are all current;y being discussed but they aren't D3 people. D3 is merely the topic. You guys are even more sensitive than I realized
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
