I obviously strike pretty hard on the lateral ball / lateral plantar. It doesn't seem to cause me issues except having to replace shoes more frequently. I haven't always had this wear pattern - I ran for years without it and then it developed after I recovered from a broken ankle (talus) bone and got back into running. Since this occasionally happens after just 50mi I have tried using replacement insoles but the insole fit is never the same and never feels exactly right (I wear extra wide asics 4E shoes and I can't find replacement insoles that are the same wide width).
Does anyone
1.) know if/where I can buy name brand insoles? (Asics is my preferred shoe b/c they offer 4E width. Lately I've been using Gel-Contend 4 and like them except for the insole)
2.) have experience with this type of wear pattern?
3.) gasp and think this is atrocious and I should look into fixing my footsrike it b/c it is indicative of something really bad
