Lots of northern CA is encased in smoke. The AQI is over 300. All outdoor activities in the region are cancelled and people are being warned not to exercise outside. Meanwhile CIM is in 3 weeks and I have an MP run scheduled for tomorrow. No doubt it's bad out there. It looks like it's a foggy day, you can smell the smoke, and it makes your throat kind of scratchy.
I did a substantial search to see if i could find what long term health problems are associated with running for a couple of days in really bad air quality. The information i found is from studies done in china or LA on exposure to daily pollution. nothing is out there on the short term effects of exercising in smoke.
Curious as to what everyone's thoughts on this. are the warnings alarmist? would you do that MP run anyway?
