Is there a live twitter or something for the match? Like the equivalent of our marathon threads. I'm not particularly good at chess, so something accessible to newbs = good

Fabi in big trouble!
Out of the woods
I didn't catch any post-game interviews, but I'm guessing that Carlsen is furious at himself for letting Fabi escape, especially considering Fabi's time trouble. On the other hand, Fabi's fans can't be too pleased by how easily Carlsen seemed to take over the initiative from the black side of a Rossolimo Sicilian.
Another thread was started shortly before the match began, but I'll just repost my own pre-match assessment here:
Magnus in a little time trouble today.

The introduction of time increments added to the clock for each move has made time trouble a much smaller factor than it was in the days of analog chess clocks with flags. It's reduced the number of egregious blunders and over-the-board disputes about pieces that may have been knocked over, touched but not moved, or moved but not released. I wish digital clocks and time increments had been in use when I was playing tournament chess; I threw away far too many games in time pressure. These days, there are very few time-trouble junkies at the top levels (a couple who come to mind are Alexander Grischuk among world-class players and Roy Robson among national-class players). It's more civilized now, but perhaps less entertaining from the spectator's point of view.
Anyway, another draw in round two. Despite Carlsen's unsurprising choice to torture Caruana in a three vs. two same-side rook ending for the last several hours in the first game, Caruana had the good manners not to do the same to Carlsen in round two.
I'm betting on Caruana to win this match. Nerves of steel. He was amazing at the Candidates.
Interesting match so far. Even though there were 2 draws, black has had the advantage in both games.
Oopos, I thought this was the Real Thread.
Which are the better shoes, Magnus, or FABI? Money, in chess it's not about the Shoes, it about the Pens (err, "Writing Instruments") -
https://www.st-dupont.com/uk/roller-ball-line-d-world-chess-black-412187-uk.htmlThe World Chess iconic Line D rollerball pen adorned with black natural lacquer with meteorite dust and finished in palladium. May the best mind win with S.T. Dupont, official writing instrument partner of the World Chess Championship.
So where's the best place to watch? The official site has Judith Polgar again, with some blonde aiding, and an old English guy with shoulder-length hair doing interviews.
Chess-24 had Grischuk who was great! Also Peter Svidler and Sopiko (Giri's wife).
STL (St. Louis) had Kasparov visiting Game 1, and he had lots to say about how you have win games, not just make nice computer scores like Magnus Carlsen did.
Is there any better? I mostly speak English for chess.
Guardian has the mainstream coverage. USA!
Woody Harrelson's joke on the first move.

Didn't seem Fabiano was too amused as he asked
the arbiter if he can change his move.

I believe it’s Susan and not Judit Polgar
Can these guys beat the best computers? I always lose against the chess app on my I pad - the thing never makes the slightest mistake. Unreal really but I also have no vision deep into a game I can only see one or two moves ahead for a few pieces. Would love to get better.
I may be from the US, but I'm rooting for the boy Magnus. Always a fan of legacy-building, too bad he slipped on Game 1. Been watching the games on and off (people in the office would be like "what are you doing man, 7 hours watching a chess game"). Maybe we'll see something a little more eventful today?
I'm a fan of the Chess 24 coverage because I think Svidler is the best/most entertaining commentator.

Agreed.
