The Sub2 are probably the lightest shoes on the market with 159g.
What did you wear? Only socks?

7.5oz?
Screw that. Give me the Skechers Razor 3.
An ounce lighter, more cushion, and better energy return, for less money and greater size range.
Not even close. Screw Adidas.

Asics Piranha is 110g/3.9oz. Not overwhelmingly common but you'll definitely see plenty of pairs at pretty much every UK/European road race.
As mentioned earlier, Wave Universe 5.

I have to say, though I was meh about the sub-2 at first (including racing a mile in it - not a great shoe for that distance), I've fallen more in love with it for the longer stuff.
I wore it for all of my long runs this marathon training cycle, including 21 milers with the last 7 at marathon pace. It really shines at that marathon pace effort, and I'm actually torn between using it or the VF 4% for my marathon.
[keep in mind that I weigh less than 110 pounds, and so my experience with that shoe may differ from others]
How fast are you running? I wore the Sub2 for a HM early this year and a couple tempo workouts, but like the feel of my Saucony Type A6 better. I'm quite a bit heavier at 150lbs, 5'11".
Why do the Japs receive all of the nice trainers in great colorways while the Americans get clunky hovercraft trainers in clashing skittles inspired colorways? Un-fuckin-fathomable

If you can't run a marathon in Takumi Sens, maybe you should learn proper technique, or quit running altogether. The Takumi Sens are actually heavy. They make up for it with their bounciness, but they are still heavy. Light starts at under 120g.
I'm not going to bother looking for elite runners using the Takumi Sens, but I'd say Mary Keitany has had some success in them and that should count for something. Others might prefer a higher drop.
What a bad post.
Mary Keitany weighs 90 pounds, which is less than literally 99.9% of this board.

NB had a pair of flats 3-4 years ago called the 5000rc that were really light.
You may change your handle every time, but your passion for made up numbers betrays you.

Hyperions or Hypocrits.
“Everyone else is doing it”. Quite the defense. The same defense for using drugs or TUE’s or Thyroid meds.
Trying to get my body weight down to 95lbs
