Clunky thick heavy shoes.
Clunky thick heavy shoes.
Clunky, thick, heavy hobbyjogger complains about a pair of shoes when it's his pigeon-toed, knock-kneed, heel-striking sweaty belly hanging out of 2-sizes too small tank top running form he should be concerned about.
Peg 35s are actually pretty awesome.
Not a minimalist shoe, but as advertised.
I use them for some easy runs. They have ok cushioning, but seem kinda stiff and slow. I wouldn't buy them again. There are probably better choices for a daily trainer.

Zoom Elite 9/10
I hate the pegs 35.
I liked the 34s and 35s just dont fit my feet right. It feels small but if I tie it loose, there’s too much slippage.
I agree with OPs sentiments. 'Clunky thick heavy' is exactly how they feel.
I'm loving this shoe. Maybe you are heavy, but the shoe isn't to my mind (i'm having forefoot strike).
I have narrow feet. Have always bought narrow pegs. The 35 in narrow is heaven.
The pegasus is a highly rated shoe that I've thought about buying before (especially since there are any on sale right now) but the 10mm drop always scares me. I've only been running in 0-4mm drop shoes for the past few years so I don't think 10mm would feel very natural anymore. Does anybody have experience adding pegs to their arsenal of generally low drop shoes?

Agreed. Loved the 33 and 34. 35 just feels too snug, too stiff, and in particular the arch lacks support so my plantar tendon gets sore. Never had those problems in the last several years of Pegs.
I never noticed a big deal. I always had chronically sore calves and ran predominately in flats so I gave them a shot.
I don't notice a big deal out of them to be honest. My calves are still sore. Biggest thing I noticed is going uphill I'm landing more in my arch than up towards my toes but that isn't a big deal.
Offset is overblown, stack height is where its at. Adidas Adios and Pegasus feel nothing alike despite being 10mm offset.
I ordered the Pegasus in the wide after trying the regular width. They fit much better. J like them plus they are on sale so I bought 3 pair. I can wear them to 300 miles or so but then they definitely feel a bit worn out.
I begin by affixing them to my feet via their lacing system.

I went the other way around. When all the low drop shoes came out, I added them in for tempos.
You should be fine. The lower drop strengthen you to handle handle lower drop. If you want more cushion for your long runs and cool downs from track workouts, it's a good change. I don't see a benefit for switching any other runs you do, like shorter easy days or tempos.
