I'm a former DII runner trying to get back into running.
I ran in Brooks Beast shoes for many years.
Is there an alternative?
Yes, I'm big (5-9 200) and a pronator.
I will not be able to run in Hoka's that for sure!

Thanks for the encouragement. I imagine you also coach little league baseball?
Hi,
The Saucony hurricane iso 4, depending how much you pronate Saucony triumph iso 5 (neutral) the Brooks Glycerin 16 (neutral shoe).
Cheers

You might want to try Reddit or Runnersworld with this hobbyjogger question.
What is wrong with the Beast for you?
If you want to stay in the Brooks family, how about the Adrenaline (sp?) Mainstream stability shoe. Works for me as a fatty old runner (6' 200#)
6'4" 205, size 14
My rotation:
Altra Paradigm 4.0 - super easy recovery
NB Beacon - recovery and some speed
Saucony Freedom - some speed work and some long runs... very versatile shoe
Altra Escalante Racer - speed and some races
Skechers GoMeb Speed 5 - race
If they made them in a 14, I would use the Reebock Floatride Fast.

Ya, because you're too cool and fast to help him out. FH.

I'm always interested in anything that comes in size 17 or 18!

I am helping him out by directing him to a more appropriate website.
6-4, 172#
Hoka Clifton
Hoka Bondi
Altra Torin
Topos Ultrafly
This is an appropriate website to get advice on running shoes. Here is a link to some recommended stability shoes:

Seems OP is seeking personal, individual advice from runners who have experience with the shoe which is good.
RunnersWorld no longer has their forum for individual comments/feedback. Reddit is only one available afaik.
To the OP - As mentioned above, Brooks Adrenaline is an excellent choice for many. Do some research on the 'net. Things have changed - there is not as much emphasis on pronation and runner's weight. Good Luck !

Why not Hokas?
I've run for 30 years at ~260 lbs and have worn a lot of Beasts over the years, but these days I'm running in Hokas. Love them.
I also ran a lot in various New Balance motion control shoes and a number of generations of Asics Kayanos.
You don't necessarily need to correct over pronation, You might try a more neutral shoe.
Brooks Glycerin 16 is the best Glycerin they've made, probably ever.
Topo Athletic Ultrafly 2 has a lot of cushioning, really good toe box, very stable platform.
Saucony Triumph ISO 5 is the best Triumph they've made, probably ever, and I think it's better than the Glycerin 16.
None of these are stability shoes, but you would probably have good luck with. Especially the Triumph, that shoe is fantastic. It's better than it looks on paper.
