She was given a 154 speed rating for her performance at the Mayor's Cup in Boston, an open meet. It was near impossible to rate the course given that there were very few reference points. It is the same course as the Battle in Beantown. This year Abbey Wheeler won the race (not at all tactical) in 17:10.
Rest of Top 5: (the first split is 3.1k)
2 Bethany Hasz JR Minnesota F 10:46 17:17 5:34
3 Abigail Green FR Virginia F 10:45 17:17 5:34
4 Sydney Meyers SR Eastern Michigan F 10:47 17:19 5:35
5 Megan Hasz JR Minnesota F 10:46 17:21 5:35
The conditions there were quite good for running.
Last year in similar conditions, where it rained a bit but was only sloppy after the girls race for the boys:
1 Elinor Purrier SR New Hampshire 10:36 16:49 5:25
2 Katherine Receveur JR Indiana 10:36 17:03 5:30
3 Paige Stoner SR Syracuse 10:36 17:04 5:30
4 Catarina Rocha SR Providence 10:36 17:05 5:30
5 Brianna Ilarda SR Providence 10:36 17:14 5:33
6 Abbey Wheeler SO Providence 10:39 17:21 5:36
**She has the same course pr as Paige Stoner who was 3rd at NCAAs in the steeple and has run 15:41/32:33!!!!!!!
And of the women in front of Sydney at Mayor's Cup :
1) 33:56 10k xc, 5th at USA's
2) 31:45 10k pr, but only 16:16 5k this year and 73 min half
3) 33:10 10k this year
Behind:
5) 33:06 10k this year
6) 15:56, 33:46 this year
Sydney threw down a monster performance. She ran faster than legit collegiate runners and decent pros. Look out for her the rest of the season.
