From what I've seen, he was almost hypothermic, or at least very cold. That would contribute to the loss of glycogen, which in turn would explain why he slowed dramatically towards the end.
Way to show NYRR that you deserve to not only be at their race, but they should throw piles of money at you just to show up

Should have brought some of the good NZ wool clothing with him.
Hit the wall indeed. Ran to win, so I give him credit for that. After the race he had to go to the hospital and was in a wheelchair. Seems to be alright now.
The funny thing is that there is only one person in the entire United States that has run faster this year than Robertson getting "devastated."
