I've been running about 2 months now to lose weight mainly after a rough patch but I would like to get good so I can compete in races if that's possible. I have about 50 to lose so I realise it will take a while but once I set myself to a thing I stick to it. I've been following a plan from Pete Pitzfinger for the 5K that a teacher at the school here who's a runner recommended to me. Ok so my main problem is that it's just so goddamn hard, I know I'm no good now but I mean after running I'm just dead, I can hardly move. I'm trying my best but I don't believe this can be normal as I see other runners looking fine, but not me. I do not doubt that the PP plan is good, I'm sure it is, it has me doing a long endurance run of 10 miles, VO(2)max intervals, tempo run, aerobic run, and recovery run. I've been trying my best to get my life in shape but now I'm seriously doubting my own capabilities. Is running always this hard at the beginning, say it's not?
