I'm not in the medical field and am unaware if there is any correctional. Regardless the data is below.
For the past 6 years, I've been running rather competitively.
Avg. Weekly Mileage - 70-90 MPW
1/2 PR - 1:06:32
Full PR: 2:20:34
Every visit to the doctors I've taken for the past six years, I've been told my BP is too high (120-135:80-90). The was done at my annual physical and through my university.
Earlier this year I decided to take a few months off and haven't had a long break (more than a month) since I was 14. Today I went to the doctor and my BP had dropped to 110:72. I went home and checked again...similar results.
Makes me wonder the effects that running has had on my body.
