I have a senior boy who has the following PRs: 16:15 5K cross, 9:45 3200, 4:28 1600. He really wants to run in college, but he has an IEP for learning disabilities, and his SAT is in the high 900s. His GPA is quite good, about 3.7, and he works really hard in school. He is a coach's dream to work with- very dedicated, does the little things like get sleep, eats well, loves the sport. Wondering if anyone might have suggestions of programs on the east coast we could look at for him that would be a good fit athletically that would not require a high SAT score. He does not know what he wants to study yet, so it would need to be a school with a variety of majors. Most D3 schools would be too academically selective, I think. Are his times fast enough to run for a decent D2 program?
