My regional meet is this Saturday.
Last Saturday I did a 7 mile run at 7 min pace, felt very easy never felt like I was pushing at all, def could've went faster.
Sunday - rest
- Monday - 3x400m @1:11 pace mile @ 5:45 3x400m @ 1:11 pace mile @ 5:45 3x400m @ 1:11 pace. The rest matched so after each 400 rest was 1:11 then after the mile got 5:45 rest 4.25 miles total
- Tuesday - 3 mile Tempo on course took easy @ 6:30 pace since workout on Monday and Wednesday
- Wednesday - Going to do 10x400m goal is 70-71 second range and to do 1:20 rest
- Thursday - rest
- Friday - easy 2-3 mile run to keep fresh for race
- Saturday - race
- What do you possibly think I should aim for?? I have been running 17:30 all year but I feel with my workout speed as good as it is in monday and wednesday it should be faster
- btw my xc courses are 3 miles not 5k
