Subject line explains it all. 1:32 goal pace, will be in Toronto this Sunday where temps are supposed to be 40.
I've generally worn hydro belts for my previous halfs, because I'm not very good at drinking water from water stations -- lose all momentum. That said, I do 90 minute training runs without water, and 40 degrees will be cool.
My instinct is to use the belt because in the end it's probably not even a pound extra of weight, decreasing during the race.
That said, I do feel freer and running just feels more natural and less artificial when not using it.
I guess then my question is how important is it to take in water during a 90 minute half. If I don't wear the belt, assume I'll be taking just a few sips from aid stations because I'm bad at it and will want to avoid it.
