I still snort my fettameens before my hard workouts
I've realized that stretching in general (both static and active) isn't worth the time. I just jog easy for a couple of miles before picking up the pace. And, when I do a workout or race I just jog for a couple miles do some strides and drills. I still do some strides after easy runs. Same thing for when I lift weights, I just warm up with the sets as opposed to doing a billion different exercises. My main stretches I still do today are third world squats where you just squat ATG for a couple minutes, I do this when I brush my teeth. And the only other stretch I still do is where I bring my foot on top of a table and do a kind of lunge, like what you see Eliud Kipchoge doing in the sub 2 commercials. Alan Thrall a powerlifter who has a few hundred thousand subscribers on YouTube made a video on why "warming up" and active stretching is a waste of time.
Just my 0.02
Stretching is over-rated and not necessary if one warms up properly.
Agree 100%
Stretching can still help prior to track races or sprints
