Time predictions?
I say 17:10 since it's a workout. Still crushes CR by 20s.

She will run 16:55 whilst hopping on one leg for the first 3 miles, then kick it in the last tenth shouting “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?!?”
Given that is is being run as a workout (focusing on the hills I think) I really don't have much of an educated guess, low 17's sounds as good as anything.
Too bad that XC isn't a TRUE team sport, in which case she could hook a tether to a teammate and pull them to a 1-2 finish. Like how rich tourists get hauled up Everest by Sherpas.
As noted above, especially hard to predict since we don't know how hard of a 'workout' her coach has planned, but if it's to be a hard one, then figure 20 seconds/mile above race pace, which would still sneak her in under the course record. I'll say 17:30. Will be there. Rained like a mother here today so course will be wet. 50 degrees at the start.
One point of reference, last year while doing a workout at Bowdoin, again focusing on the hills I think, she ran 17:10, later in the season in a pure race she ran 16:52. Both times set course records. Prior record was 17:17.
What time is the race?
It is in the morning, not sure which race N Rockland is in. http://www.suffolkxctf.com/2018RaceSchedule.pdfhttp://www.suffolkxctf.com/2018%20Suffolk%20Coaches%20XC%20Invitational%20FINAL%20RACE%20ASSIGNMENTS.pdf
No, no, no, you got the wrong meet. That was 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow morning is the Suffolk Officials meet. Katelyn runs at 10:20am.
yes, thanks for the correction. I went by the name on the N Rockland schedule but missed that the boys and girls meets were different. https://sites.google.com/a/northrockland.org/nr-red-raider-athletics/calendar
Who are the other top girl teams running tomorrow?
For the last 4 or 5 years both the boys and girls teams have been relatively weak. Not sure why N Rockland would schedule this one other than the S Meadow course profile. Tuohy will be a full 2 minutes out front and just may have a faster finish time than top boy.
I believe this is where the state meet will be held this year, so this gives her a chance to run it beforehand.
It's miserable out there right now. Cold, rainy and windy.
Jog an 18:00, get the win by a minute instead of two, and learn the course, which from what they said was the plan for this weekend anyway.
Come back for the course record at States.
There's no need for heroics today.

Agreed. Course is soaked, no need to injure, jog it once as a warmup, easy tempo and go get warm & dry in the bus. Am on my way anyway as I won't be around for the State Meet.

In HS, the best team in the conference's mascot was the Spartan. They had a strong 6 but their 7th runner was way back. So right at the beginning of a race their slowest runner sprints out to the front of the field and shouts "SPARTANS! PREPARE FOR GLORY!!!" and then he promptly faded back and got last place, but his team won by a landslide.

If only that was recorded and posted to YouTube! I'm rolling laughing here thinking about the kid doing that.
What time is she racing?
The schedule said 10:35, but perhaps weather delayed things?
