I didn't read all the responses but I figured I should chime in my two cents. I M32 now and recently had some kidney issues. Iran Division 1 in college and then kept going seriously for the next 5 years or so after. The last few years I kind of got on healthy and gain some weight but recently had a similar measurement with my GFR. I think my creatinine got as high as 1.8. My mom had chronic kidney disease and I was really struggling so the doctors took ultrasound of my kidney and found out that I only had one functioning. The other one is just tiny and it seems like it could have died a long while ago or maybe was never really alive but I never really noticed it until now. Luckily, you can live fine on one. For me, I have noticed, and same went for my mom, that it is best controlled by watching my sodium intake. Too much sodium and I take on tons of water and blowed up and feel terrible. I also wear compression socks as often as I can. Anyways, after a couple of high readings I was able to get it down into normal range after about 6 months and have been fine since so I wouldn't be too worried. Although, I am a lot younger than you. Take it seriously though. My mom was on dialysis for quite some time and is not something you want to mess around with. Also, lay off the hard drugs. Find a good nephrologist that went to a good school. Do your homework and ask around.
