Why are there so many jerks on here? The kid asked for advice, he/she doesn't need stupid comments. Some of these kids don't have a coach that cares or is knowledgeable, so they are looking for any advice that could potentially help them.
As for the workout, If done at 5k pace, it's not a difficult workout. Make sure you're running relaxed with proper form. You could always do them at 3k pace, or make the reps longer, such as 800 or 1000's.
Ok, thanks for the input. The workout felt really easy, so hopefully my coach bumps it up some more next week since we don’t have a race that week. I did 6x1000m last week, but sadly died in the second half of the workout, running about 5:20 ish pace first half, and 6 minute pace second half. And to the guy that was asking my gender, I’m a guy, step off.
