I almost forgot. Rupp isn’t even the fastest marathoner in NOP.

Osako ran 2:05 beat his last year time and this year time.

Rupp got destroyed by two Japanese runners in the same year.

Anyway let me know when rupp runs 2:04. And who holds the American half marathon record ,my friend ?

One side note: Alberto and Pete write workouts together and play off each other to figure out what will work well for each athlete. People think that Pete is just doing his own thing, but that is far from the truth. The Oregon Project believes in individual coaching as much as possible, so they just have each coach have more focus on a few particular athletes.

This kid has been lost since he left college. We have not seen him get consitant with his potential .

NOP strength program will for sure help, training with and being around other world class athletes will help.

Brazier tried to train under Johnny Gray, who runs a speed-based system, and allegedly DB couldn't hang with 50-60mpw or whatever Solomon does as base, and bounced his way back to Texas.

How is he going to deal with a NOP program?

Also, has Salazar/NOP produced improvements for a single elite 800 runner?

Brazier would likely be better off training with Mohammed Aman at OTC (who has actually done well there).

First result I know of for Brazier since the move was a quick 1:15.46 win at Texas A & M today with a faster last than middle 200m.

This seems to be a new pr at 600m for Brazier. Previous pr was 1:16.02 in 2017 at altitude in ABQ.

Hot opener. Worth 1:45 on conversion.

I ran Boston in 2011. That tail wind has grown beyond legend. On the day, it was barely worth noting. I am sorry that this and the downhill nature of Boston puts an asterisk next to Halls 2:04:58 because that performance was marvelous.
