1-Who's the G.O.A.T? Korzeniowski? Jefferson Perez? Damilano?
2-We all know Patrick Sang, Canova Schumacher, Salazar, Rowland, Brother Colm, etc...tell me about Racewalk elite groups, well known coaches, etc.
3-Why Kenyans and Ethiopians aren't dominating the event? Because there are many racewalkers born in altitude (Andes Mountains, Mexican altitude and neighbors like Guatemala, etc)
Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the delay in posting. Had tons of stuff going on! If you're interested in following along with my daily comings and going, hmu on the gram! @evandunfee
1) Jared Tallent. One of the good guys in the sport, has been so vocal about the dirty Russians for over a decade, has been robbed of his chance to stand on top of the podium at a Major Champs 4 times. Has 4 Olympic medals, guy just knows how to show up when it counts. And I can say with 100% certainty that he is clean.
2) Well known coaches would be Viktor Chegin. Russian coach who has had over 30 athletes test positive under him. Who was banned for life but then was caught coaching from a white van in disguise. Who was coaching Russian athletes who the IAAF had somehow given ANA status to (one who won Silver at worlds) in Uzbekistan secretly... He's sadly our most well know coaches.
But groups Im not too sure. Damilano coaches the Chinese national team in Italy so that is a pretty solid group of guys and girls that have dominated. And they actually posted a lot of info about their training back in 2015 which is pretty cool.

It's a pretty awesome camp and usually brings out some of the best guys in the world. We are much more collaborative than runners (we have to be, there aren't that many of us!). Last year in Aus I was doing a long walk and I looked around and realized that the 9 other guys I was walking with had all finished in the top 12 at a major championships in the last few years! That was pretty cool.
You can find the first study we did showing that LCHF was not appropriate for elite endurance athletes (despite what people yelling on twitter say) here:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28012184and if you want to find more of the studies we've done, just search for Louise Burke.
3) Honestly I dont know. We have a few Ethiopians now up and coming and there has been a steady stream of 1 or 2 Kenyans coming up every so often but they almost always get DQ'd. I dont know if I have the answer. But I suspect it maybe partially to do with just a lack of caring for the event (but it is still a way to make a little bit of money, so you'd think at least a couple like 2:15 marathoners would be like, hey... wait a second...) and partially maybe due to the lack of hard surfaces to train on? It is really challenging to race walk on trails and dirt roads because of the low foot carriage and I feel like that is where most of the runners train. But, that could also just be complete ignorance on my part.
