Her coach is avoiding her running the same courses this year, so that she will not compare her 2017 self over her 2018 self (pushing the problem to January)
However, if her team has a shot at NXN, they will run NXR.
Let's look at her team (and chances). Remember that her team came 5th last year at NXR:
Morales (Jr): was 5th this weekend in 19:09. She was 39 seconds slower than at Ocean, so she underperformed a little this weekend. She is a great runner (18:14 PB as a freshman) and she is running faster than last year when her SB was 19:17. A lot of upside here. She is good enough to even qualify as an individual for NXN, if she runs her best. BETTER THAN LAST YEAR.
Ruffino (Jr): was 21st this weekend in a PB of 20:08. She was 2 seconds faster than at Ocean, so she is improving. Her SB last year was 20:09. BETTER THAN LAST YEAR
Keller (So): was 33rd this weekend in 20:31. She was 6 seconds slower than at Ocean, where she ran a PB of 20:25. So she is still improving. Her PB last year was 21:48, so huge improvement in 2018. BETTER THAN LAST YEAR
Pezzementi (So): she was 55th this weekend in 21:09. She was 38 seconds faster than at Ocean, so she is improving rapidly this season. She is a much better runner than that. Her PB last year was 19:50. She should be the 3rd runner of the team.
So basically, if Pezzementi can get to her level from last year, Tuohy's team will be much better than last year.
