What if pacers go out at 62 but Mo didn't go? Anyone ever hear of something like that? Call for a pace then hold back and maintain a more reasonable pace. Hope Kirui and Rupp knock each other out. Think Rupp would stay back or go with pacers.

Well he didn't go with the pace when the pacemakers were trying to push and it's not like no one is going to spot his move or give him a ton of ground. He can't complain much if there's not a fast time. Weather isn't optimal though so that might be why. Temps aren't bad, but it's drizzling, only slightly humid.
Paul Tergat lost to a Rabbit named Ben Kamundo at Chicago when he did not go with the pacers. Ben and the others even stopped and waited for the field.
Farah negative split 63:06/62:05, largely in part to the surges of Kepkemoi and Kurui in the 2nd half
If Mo can win worlds or the Olympics, he will be the best ever!

No. He got lucky with his timing, that's all. He got good after Bekele declined. Kipchoge is a better marathoner by far and one world/Olympic win won't change that. He also beat Bekele in 2003 and took 2nd behind Bekele at Beijing 2008. Shift Kipchoge's career in time a bit, so his track prime overlaps with Mo's and not Bekele's, and does Mo still win everything?

Mo has a 3:28 1500m - he could have taken the 5000m or 10000m WR if he was bothered. He probably could have gone about 2:03:45 yesterday, had they set off faster.
