did not know Sir Mo was 35.
He looks a lot younger than Mr. Kipchoge.

Actually, that does mean that she beat her.
No it doesn't. She finished 1 second in front of her. You're the dumbo, dumbo.

Um, no. You did not predict she would drop out. You were very clear that she might drop out.

I want to go with Laura, but she is carrying a pubic bone injury, that has been affecting her running. It might rear its head during the race, so I'm sure how much she can push during the race.
However, if she is not bothered by it, she should be able to be the first female american to cross the finish line.
Yes. Scorpion idiot likes to make "SAFE" posts peppered with innuendos so that he can fall back on maybe or might. He's a hobby jogger at best.

+1. Congrats Mo, but to the dumbos on here, that's not BEATING Galen, it's finishing in front of him...by 1 minute...over a 125 plus minute race. Do try to keep things in perspective.
That was funny :)

I haven't noticed any cross training in Gwen's videos. She seems to struggle with 100 mile weeks. I wonder if she will get back on the bike/pool and reduce her running miles.
I'm wondering the same thing.
It may benefit her with her background to cut out doubles and do one run in the morning and then 60-120 minutes biking in the afternoon instead of a 4-6 mile easy run.
The one thing that Gwen is missing is a lot of running miles, many at pretty decent pace. Before NYC she had never run further than 16 miles, and probably did not (again) until several months after Stanley was born. When she was at Wisconsin she ran for less than 24 months after starting as a swimmer; she was encouraged to switch by her high school coach. Her best performance was a 3000/5000 double at Big Tens (some years that is easier than others).
The notion (by others) that she has not worked very hard is ludicrous. People keep bringing up the good recreational Tri athletes. No one had ever won more than 3 ITU races in a row; she won 11 straight, some times making up several minutes in the run after missing the lead group of riders. I suspect that she would do better in warm-weather races because many of the Tri are pretty warm, and you go pretty hard for almost two hours. A runaway Gold Medalist in an endurance sport is not a dilettante. Her form is inefficient for a marathon and it is slowly getting better and it gets rougher still as she tires. The Tris are not that easy, note that very few high-level runners ever succeed in switching. She wanted a life (tri training is a lot of hours) and a different challenge. What is the goal of an Olympic Gold medalist supposed to be, top-10 US woman?
BTW, some occasionally say that she should do the Ironman; there is not a chance that she is interested in doing that, even if her Tri fans might wish for that.

No, it was idiotic and you completely missed the point of the comment...aka you're a mental midget.
1 second is not the same thing.
You have the same IP kudos88, who ironic. Would you like me to list more info on you? I'm not the person who posted the original comment, but I happen to understand the point (have Wejo check, I encourage it). Obviously you were triggered by your own ignorance so you changed your handle. Bravo!
THIS.
KUDOS88 gets triggered often and responds to his own threads often. You must me new here to not know that. Ignore the turd.

That was even funnier. I admit, I can't tell if you're trolling, pretending the joke went over your head and pretending to be frothing at the mouth and spitting at the keyboard in anger, and spitting out insults just to try to pull others down to that level, or if you're actually at that level, but it's quite entertaining either way.
I do appreciate the letsrun "scream and insult" troll game--it's part of its charm.
didn't watch. congrats to Mo. Pretty good, as I always say. Never run sub 2:05 or be top 10 but still not bad, not bad.
What happened to 800m+ GOAT Augustine Choge, was he a DNS? The results don't have any splits for him.

He went through 10k with the pack and I don't know what happened after that.

A tad optimistic, but your placing is likely. The fact this race is paced favors the Kenyans and Ethiopians, of which Geremew is probably the highest quality. Farah is simply better than Rupp and will finish ahead of him, and Kirui will also always beat Rupp.
Don't forget Karoki, who could have a breakout marathon, and Choge, who is having his debut. Choge apparently trained with patrick sang in his buildup, so in addition to him once being one of tracks most promosing youth, makes him a big darkhorse.
Thought geremew could go from further out, they played into mo's hands

DNS, yes.
He started. He dropped out the first half.

Be nice. It was a subtle parody easily misinterpreted as a spoof, and that part probably went over his head, or he would have laughed instead of gotten angry. It was probably the most entertaining inoffensive post of the day, actually.
