Surprised by how fast I was able to go on Monday’s hard tempo. My first run like that in several months so I had no real expectations. Turned out to be very even splits running on a “hard” feel. (5:57/57/59). Didn’t check my watch except for when it autolapped at the mile mark for each mile. Certainly harder than a true tempo effort, but it helps me establish where my baseline fitness is right now.
Hill workout on Wednesday was pretty relaxed and controlled. I’ll extend that workout to 12 reps at about 5k pace when I get to the specific phase.
Saturday’s long run was also very controlled. Hopefully the last long run of the year in a 70+ dewpoint.
Hope everyone else had a great week.
