I'm curious how long you guys think it will take before i am somehow injured after a 40-50mpw base. All of my 100mpw miles will be junk slow.

If you have done this before and if you do the mileage super easy you shouldn't get hurt. I've done something very similar, I went from averaging 60 mpw to 110 MPW the very next week and than averaged 100+ miles a week for the next 2 months. After the winter build up I do about 80-90 miles per week. The key is to take your easy mileage easy.
A week from Tuesday.
run very easy and you'll be fine
After 3 days of your potential first 100 mile week.
I predict you will be hurt by someones words in this thread before the day is over.

If you really do them all “junk slow”, you should be fine - as long as you haven’t had any injury problems. If you’ve had past injury problems and potentially have some form issues or imbalances, then jumping up to 100 miles could be bad. But it’s sudden large increases in the volume of speed work which is much more likely to lead to injury than junk miles.
