Hey everyone I am a high school senior from Canada and I decided to start a weekly training log to get advice on my training and to see how I am improving over the coming months. I am currently in the fall cross country season, which will be ending soon because of the early winter here in Canada. I started running regularly about 2ish months ago in the summer and have already started to see improvements.
I will most likely be running the 800, 1500, or 3000 in track come spring. My personal bests this cross country season (the last two weeks) are as follows:
1000m:3:10
1 mile:5:44(part of a 2k race)
3000m:11:20
I have a 5k race next wednesday and my goal time is sub 19 minutes.
I am currently running 20 miles per week, and I am planning on building up my mileage over the winter to around 50 miles per week. If anyone has any advice about anything, please feel free to say it. Thanks!
