Just kidding, he's quitting for a while.

Wow is he irritating.
Wish he would go back to school to get some structure in his life, be on a team, and have a coach. Depressive personalities think they want to be alone, but actually do better around at least a small group of fiends.
Normally someone like Soren would just fall of the radar, but it is a different world with social media especially if you are publishing a channel. Hope he figures his life out, running or not.
actually, I like the fact that he is just being a young adult, and having fun exploring. He has plenty of time to be a great distance runner, and there will be no wear and tear on the body.
I can actually see him becoming a great ultra distance runner. He has the attitude and persona for it.
Doesn’t have the mental strength to push through when times are hard. Lots of talent but not the perseverance nor the self discipline. I wish him the best of luck.

No, more like someone who is depressed in a downward spiral making a cry for help. He doesn't appear to be having "fun" at all. Any illusion of fun you might have is just the social media lens.

Yea, this is what I was thinking. The guy seems like he simply does not care about anything, including himself.

That is what young adults go through, trying to figure things out. I was the same way. Maybe he is lost, but I don't think it's in a dangerous, I don't know what I am going to do with myself lost.
I see a kid trying to figure things out, and possibly not sure of anything..... which is the travel for when you are coming of age.

I got some anger on the last thread about Soren when I said this and how self coaching was a huge mistake. Kid has talent but he, more so then a lot of others even, needs the structure of school and a team/coach. His “do it my way” is just weakness and a lack of discipline. Which is also why his running has been tanking hard. Will he be able to come back? I doubt it. By dropping out he not only three away the running he threw away the schooling. Obviously it’s his life and his choice - and the world needs people to do minimum wage type jobs so it will all work out.
I think most people saw this coming. So young thinks he knows everything and just what he needs to do. He had no direction, no guidance. Hope he figures it out someday. How does he he get by with rent, food etc. who pays his bills so he can do all his adventures? I really really hope that he is able to figure just what he really wants, and not just be like a butterfly and just fly from place to place. No question he has tremendous potential, but has not figured things out. Hopefully he will But he needs some help and guidance.
