I've thoroughly enjoyed the various training log threads posted here over the years (shout out to Wiz's recent thread) and so decided it was my turn to do so. Following is my attempt to return to fitness after a 10-year hiatus.

Recent Training
50-60 mpw while in college. Around 10-20 mpw for the last couple of years, with random breaks of a month or more without running. I do keep fit- I participate in rec-league soccer and do weights and/or circuit workouts 4-6x/week. I did no running in April or May.

Light buildup to 30mpw. Body felt okay, if heavy. Scale shows weight at 8 lbs more than racing days, and I'm very conscious of it while running. Turnover is slow and arm swing feels foreign.
