Just noticed as a U.K. Guy that the French sports retailer Decathlon are about to open a store in the Bay Area and offer their inventory online too.
This could be a big disruptor in the US running market. Decathlons running brand 'Kalenji' offer really good products way below competitors prices because they are selling direct and have their own R&D teams.
I've bought mesh dry-fit style tshirts for around $3 and good quality running shorts with a liner and good tech material for $5, lightweight jackets for $14 and great socks and other kit.
They have a range of shoes but they are much more hit and miss. Good value but tend to be a bit stiff. They hVe a racing flat very similar to the original adios that retails in the U.K. For around $70.
Will be interesting to see if they have an impact.
