Do the pacemakers still get paid the full amount if they drop out early?
The last one standing should get a raise from those who dropped

Looks like he's down to one pacemaker after 46 minutes?
Your vision is impeccable. He's fokked.
Anyone know what shoes Kipchoge and the rest are wearing?
Ok. I just woke up. Was trying to catch them around halfway.
Thoughts without reading this thread:
1) First thing I immediately thought was "looks hot"
2) Only saw 2 pacers with Kipchoge and thought "he's not getting record"
3) Now there is only 1 pacer- how could they not get more pacers than this? or racers? Kipchoge just running by himself is a bit less exciting for viewing purposes. There are a jillion guys in Kenya who can run 1:01 in the half.
4) Race must have started at 3:15 not 3.
5) I'll read the thread to catch up.
Has anyone found out which time is correct? Car or tag clock? It would be a shame in case the WR is in jeopardy.

If that top 4 can maintain they are on track to be fastest or second fastest 3rd and 4th ever. Up until now Dubai earlier this year had 3rd and 4th finish together in 2.04.06. Second fastest third placing is 2.04.32?by chumba in Chicago 2014, 2nd lastest fourth is negesse in Dubai 2013 in 2.04.52
Did you all notice one of the support bike guys is handing Kipchoge his bottles at every water station, then jumps on the bike and sprint forward onto the next one...
Anyone see the dude handing Kipchoge his bottles getting super pumped every time he hands one off? Lol

4%, apparently.
I know they're NIKE.....which Nike? Streak 6?
Kipchoge lost 2 pacemakers, now he only has Boit, it looks like Eliud will have to run alone in the sexond half which will be tough.
#97 is most relaxed Dibaba-pacer. He will win the Dibaba-pacer title.

I feel like an idiot for getting up this early to watch another European marathon, but here I am so I might as well watch it.
I ended up sleeping in for 45 minutes. Just got up. I'm reading through the thread to see what I msissed. I figured 3 hours sleep was 50% more than 2.What the hell. Just one pacemaker. My god.
But what I'm noticing is how calm the wind looks. Looks like zero wind.
Some one want to give me Cliffnotes of the first 53 minutes.
Josh Cox is doing commentary on NBCSN? Who is doing it on gold? Tim Hutchings.I just checked. That makes it an easy decision. NO ads and Hutchings.
Where ya getting these?[/quote]

Yeah, that's been the plan for the last 12 months.
To be clear, the final remaining pacer is not American Josphat Boit, the former Arkansas runner. It's Josphat Kiptoo Boit, who has run 59:19 for the half marathon this year.
Still pumped at 19k!
